Contact Britt for help accessing any materials that list "Noncirculating" as their status.

Books Not Owned by USU

If it is not feasible to purchase the book, we will borrow the book through Interlibrary Loan and send the book to you. Regardless, all you need to do is complete the RCDE book request form for any book that you need send to you.

Requesting Print Materal:

  • Borrowing periods are:
    Undergraduate Students = 4 weeks

Moore Library (children's) materials = 4 weeks with no renewals

Policies and Procedures for Ordering Material

Policies and Procedures: the fine print

Have questions about the specifics of accessing library materials as a student or employee working with distance classes or at a regional campus? The following information should answer some questions, and feel free to contact Britt with further questions.

Borrowing Materials from the Libraries

Materials are available to USU students, faculty, and staff outside of Cache Valley.

No fees are charged directly for ordering materials. However, borrowers are responsible for all loaned materials and fees will be charged for overdue, lost, or damaged items.

Materials are loaned for a guaranteed 2 weeks after which time they may be recalled by another library user. Recalls occur when another user requests checked out material or items are needed for Course Reserves. Recalled items may not be renewed and must be returned within one week of notification.

Requesting Articles

Only copies of individual articles can be provided, not entire issues of journals.

If you would like to request the library get an electronic subscription to a specific journal, contact Britt or your subject librarian.

If the library does not have a print or electronic subscription to the journal you need, you can request the article via Interlibrary Services. This process works very similarly to requesting print articles through RCDE Library Services.
