Adobe contains tools that can help you create an index within your PDF. After opening your PDF, click on "All Tools," "view more," and then scroll down to "Add search index." You will then be prompted to choose a full index with catalog or manage embedded index. The full index option will require you to build an index on your computer (with associated files); the embedded index will automatically create an index for your document, which will enable faster searching. You cannot download the index after it is created.
