Technology

Recording Studio

  • You do not need any software when using the recording studio. Simply bring in a USB 2.0, plug it in, and press record. Additional editing software can be found in our Digital Scholarship Room.
  • For step-by-step instructions, visit our website here.

Lightboard

  • The lightboard requires a laptop connection to operate the recording software. If you do not have one, a loaner laptop is available at the IT desk. We recommend using Zoom since it has easy capabilities to mirror your video, but you are welcome to use any additional video recording software that you feel comfortable with.
  • For step-by-step instructions, visit our website here.

Reserving the Recording/Photo Studio

To reserve a time slot in the recording studio, visit the reservation calendar. Select the dates and times to use the equipment.

Please Note:

You will have to log in using your Aggie number and password to create a reservation.

Hours and Location

The Innovation Hub is open the same hours as the Merrill-Cazier Library. See those hours here.

The recording studio is in 158K, the southwest corner of the Innovation Hub.

If you are interested in using the lightboard, please ask the IT worker to help you move it into the recording studio.

Editing Software

USU offers all students and faculty free access to Adobe Premiere Pro, a software you can use to edit your videos professionally.

For information on how to download and access the software, please follow this link

Once you set up Adobe Creative Cloud on your device, search for Adobe Premiere Pro.
