Automatically Creating Citations in Library Article Collections

Many databases and article collections, plus many e-books, will automatically create citations for whichever article or chapter you are viewing.

"Cite This" or "Citation" button on the record for the article or chapter you are viewing.

  1. Search in a library database and select an article that looks interesting.
  2. Look for a "Cite This" button or icon.
  3.  Find the format you need, for example, MLA. Copy and paste the citation it into your list of References.
