Richard Bushman PhD is currently publishing extensively in Mormonism. He has 11 book publications, of which his 2005 book Joseph Smith: Rough Stone Rolling is considered the best modern biography on the Mormon founder and was the winner of the 2005 Evans Biography Award and the Best Book Award from the Mormon History Association. He is currently sits as the Howard W. Hunter chair in Mormon Studies at Claremont Graduate University.
Kathleen Flake PhD is currently an Associate Professor of American Religious History at Vanderbilt University’s Divinity School. Although Flake has only published one book on Mormonism she is a prolific journal writer who has been published in journals such as Journal of Religion, the Journal Religion and American Culture, Sunstone Magazine, and Dialogue: a journal of Mormon Thought.
Jan Shipps PhD is one of the most prolific authors on Mormonism in the academic community, she is also one of the most recognized and authoritative scholars in Mormonism. Dr. Shipps is currently professor emeritus of history and religious studies at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. She is widely published on Mormon topics in both Mormon and non-Mormon journals. Her most noted book published on Mormonism is Mormonism: The Story of a New Religious Tradition.
