About American Adventures Month

Graphic that says American Adventures Month with illustrations of famous outdoor landmarks

Inspired by his love of landscapes and ecosystems of the North, Central, and South Americas, Peter Kulkkula, a spokesman and adventurer, began American Adventures Month to encourage others to explore the American Lands. August is meant to start or deepen one's admiration for the outdoors. It is the perfect month to relax, push people out of their comfort zones, and show empathy for different kinds of living.

Logan, Utah, is the perfect place to become more daring and adventurous in the outdoors. Activities range from horseback riding in Beaver Creek Ridge to hiking in the Wind Caves to taking a scenic drive through Logan Canyon. Learn how to spend American Adventures Month by reviewing our recommendations of local outdoor organizations, public lands, and recreational areas.
