  • I already have a NYT subscription, can I get free access through USU Libraries?
    • Yes, you will need to cancel your personal subscription. See instructions on the Overview and Access page for "Existing Subscriber - Active Subscription."
  • Do USU emeritus faculty have access to the USU Libraries' NYT subscription?
    • Yes, emeritus faculty will need to reauthenticate for access every 4 years.
  • I am a current USU student, staff, or faculty member - does my spouse also have access to the USU NYT group pass?
    • No, spouses do not have access to the group pass and must arrange their own subscription.
  • Do USU Alumni have access to the USU Libraries' NYT subscription?
  • Can members of the public access USU Libraries' NYT subscription?
  • May I assign NYT articles for students to read?
    • Yes, please copy the article URL using the instructions on the Teaching and Research Tools page. Be sure to ask students to create USU NYT accounts to avoid running into paywalls.
  • May I share my log in credentials with others?
    • Please do not. Only current USU students, staff, and faculty may access the subscription.
  • How long will my access last?
    • USU students have access until December 31st of their graduation year
    • USU staff and faculty have 4 years of access until they must reauthenticate by visiting accessnyt.com
  • How do I renew my account?
    • ​​​​​​​Visit accessnyt.com, search for Utah State University, Select "Go," select "Already have an account?," and log in with your USU email address and existing NYT password.
