Searching in Education Source

Education Source is a large, online digital library focused on a broad range of educational topics in scholarly articles, news, magazines and trade journals.

1. Go to https://library.usu.edu/ and click on the "Articles and Databases" link under "Find."

2. To quickly find Education Source, search for it in the search box or click "E."

3. Click on "Education Source."

4. This will bring you to the advanced search for the CINAHL Complete database.

Do not type in your entire research question, break it down into keywords and enter them into the search bars.


5. Type in your keywords. Notice some may populate once you start typing from a dropdown menu. Then click "Search."

6. Scroll through the results page until you find a resource you're interested in viewing.

Clicking on the resource will take you to it's detail page which includes information like author, citations, publisher, date, and access options.


7. If a resource is available for immediate download, there will be buttons that say "Access Options (Checking for Full Text)," "Access Now," or "Download."

When clicking "Check for Full Text" under Access Options, this will utilize the library's program Article Linker.

Linker searches across all library databases to find the article for free. For more information, see this guide.


8. If checking for full text brings you to the page below, click on the green button that says "Click to open resource. The resource will open in a new tab."

9. You can use filters to narrow your results further. To do so, click "All filters (0)."

10. Choose which filters work for your scope of research and then click "Apply."
