PsycINFO is a large collection of scholarly articles, trade publications, and dissertations on topics ranging from education to pharmacology.
1. To begin searching, break down your topic into keywords and enter them into the search bars at the top of the page. For example, if you are researching whether or not there is a correlation between video games and bullying your search would look like this:
2. You can scroll to the bottom of the search page, to find ways to refine your results. For example, you could use the “Age Groups” option to focus on adolescents and the “Methodology” filter only to view empirical research.
3. Click the green search button at the top of the page (to the right of the search boxes). Scroll through the results page to see if any articles are relevant by looking at the titles and subjects.
4. Not seeing relevant articles? Use the "Refine Results" tab on the left side of the results page to narrow your results.
