Searching in IBISWorld

IBISWorld is an industry research database that has information about companies who compete for the same consumers. It is a great resource that provides detailed reports about U.S. and global industries - but can be tricky to search through.

1. You can conduct a basic keyword search using the search bar at the top of the page. Let's say we are interested in learning more about the fast food industry. Your search would look like this.

2. This pulls up results for reports from the U.S., China, and across the world. Use the filters at the top to narrow your results

3. Scroll through the results and browse the titles, abstracts, major players, products, and services, to find a report that is relevant to your research.

4. To view a report, click the title. This will take you to a page that gives you a quick explanation of the industry.

5. Use the tabs on the left side of the page to navigate to a specific section.
