What Can I Request?
Items you’re welcome to request but we’re often unsuccessful in obtaining:
USU Interlibrary Loan does not supply:
If you need materials not related to your education or work at USU, contact local public library to see if they can assist you with their interlibrary loan services.
Materials located at USU Eastern and USU Blanding Libraries are included in USU's online catalog. We can't get materials from those locations, but can request them from other libraries in the United States.
Place requests for those items in ILLiad.
ILLiad is the system for requesting research materials such as books, book chapters, or articles through interlibrary loan.
Logon to ILLiad to place your order.
Although most articles arrive within 48 hours, and books arrive within 7 days, there are several factors to consider which may affect how long it takes for you to receive your request:
- Format (Can the document be sent electronically or does the item have to be shipped?)
- Availability (How many other libraries have the article or loan requested?)
- Staff (Are staff available at our partner libraries to process your item?)
