Places to find artifacts (for free)!
These places offer collections of various media and allow you to use it for educaitonal purposes, with attribution.
- Bing Image SearchRun a search, then use the tab "License" and choose "free to share and use" to limit your search to images that allow you to use it with attribution.
- Google Image Advanced SearchType in your search terms and be sure to use the Usage Rights option at the bottom of the page. Limit to things you can use and share.
- Creative CommonsThis site collects and links to images and resources that allow for use and sharing.
- Wimedia CommonsOffers a large collection of media files online for your use.
Be Creative
Remember, you can create props and photograph images yourself or you may stage short scenes (excerpts) from plays and video them. Also, if you come accross an image from an institution (a museum, university, etc...) or a place with contact information, you can ask them for permission to use images and content. Be sure to keep evidence of permission, if it's granted.
