This guide walks you through creating permalinks (permanent links) to articles within EBSCOhost, JSTOR, ProQuest, and Science Direct.
EBSCOHost
Open the document record to which you want to create a link.
To the right of the record, you will see a column labeled "Tools". Select the Permalink option.
Copy the link that appears at the top of the record.
Paste the link into the location where you want to link to the record.
JSTOR
Open the document record to which you want to create a link.
Find the Stable URL or the Remote Access URL under the publication information. NOTE: The Stable URL is good for citations and the Remote Access URL is good for working off-campus.
Copy either link and paste it into the location where you want to link to the record.
Creating Permalinks in ProQuest
Common database from ProQuest include ProQuest Newsstand and Digital Dissertations.
Open the document record to which you want to create a link.
Click All Options on the right-hand side of the title. That will pull up a box with all save options.
Click on the link at the top of the All save and export options box. That will copy the permalink.
Paste the link Copy and paste it into the location where you want to link to the record.
Science Direct
Click on the title of the article to which you'd like to link.
Locate the DOI underneath the publication information.
To copy the DOI URL, right-click on the link and choose Copy Link Location.
Paste the link into the location where you want to link to the record.
