ProQuest One Academic searches across four multi-disciplinary databases:
Sources include both scholarly and popular sources including academic journals, magazines, and newspapers from a wide variety of subject areas.
One Academic also includes ProQuest Research Assistant AI Tool. It’s a great place to start your research on almost any topic.

1. Go to https://library.usu.edu/ and click on "Articles & Databases."
2. To quickly search for the ProQuest One Academic database, type it into the search bar or click on "P" to find it alphabetically.
3. Click on the "ProQuest One Academic" link.
4. Type in keywords related to your topic in the search bars.
5. If you have more than a few keywords, you can always click "Add a row." This will add an additional row of search fields.
6. When you're done entering keywords, click "Search."
7. Related results will populate. Notice under the search bar there are suggested words and/or phrases that may relate to your topic of interest.
8. This feature is part of ProQuest's Research Assistant AI Tool.
9. Clicking on these will add them to your search string.
10. When you find a source you'd like to see more details on, click on the title.
11. On the item's detail page, you can view information on authors, download the item, review citation information, and explore suggested sources compiled by the Research Assistant AI Tool.
12. If you want to look at a source suggested by the Research Assistant AI Tool, click on the item's title.
13. This will take you to the item's detail page. The Research Assistant AI Tool will populate more information like key takeaways and other potential subject and indexing terms.
14. The Research Assistant AI Tool can also try to brainstorm related research topics and describe important concepts of a topic.
