Constitution Day: Introduction

On September 17, 1787, the Constitutional Convention completed its work and 39 delegates signed the Constitution of the United States. Constitution Day celebrates this auspicious event in the founding of the United States and the resilience and flexibility of the framers' work that we still interact with today. 

Students, faculty, and members of the general public are invited to participate in the events celebrating this text. To learn more about the Constitution, its text, and its issues, see the resources on these tabs. 

Be sure to visit the Merrill-Cazier Library Government Information Department on the Lower Level on September 15, 2023 to pickup a free pocket Constitution while supplies last.
