Bridging the Gap Conference

Bridging the Gap is a half-day conference for Cache Valley high school librarians, media specialists, English, History, and Social Science teachers and library staff from Utah State University Libraries. In support of USU’s land grant distinction, this conference is an opportunity to begin a dialogue with local educators regarding USU Libraries’ resources, while also learning how to better support incoming USU students as they transition from high school to the university. Conference tracks include information literacy, primary sources, and digital resources.

This LibGuide provides access to conference resources, including a digital program, links to presentation slides, and makes associated resources publicly available.

Conference organizers thank USU Libraries administration and local educators for their participation and support. Graphic Design provided by Shay Larsen, USU Libraries.

Gain a better understanding of the university resources that are going to be available to help your students financially, academically, and socially during their first year of college. Hear directly from students about their first-year college experiences: where they struggled and where they thrived and how we can all better support them as they transition from high school to college.
