The design for the Royal hunt of the sun is done in acrylic, graphite, and gloss acrylic medium. The designs for The dark of the moon are done in watercolor, ink, and gouache. The remaining designs in the collection are watercolor and gouache. All designs are signed "S.G. Perkes." The tempest and Caucasian chalk circle designs are dated "7/70."

Original backdrop and stage designs for the plays: Hay fever, Arsenic and old lace, and She stoops to conquer done in acrylic, graphite, and gesso on tissue paper and mounted on illustration board (51 x 76 cm.) The collection also includes a stage design for a theatrical version of A Christmas carol done in gouache, watercolor, and graphite on illustration board. Each design is signed "Sid Perkes" and dated. The design for A Christmas carol is dated "92" while the others are dated "81."
