Sharing / Copyright Issues

Sharing Data:

Most data management plans expect information about sharing your data and perhaps clarification of any copyright issues. The information you might need to include in your Data Management Plan are:

  • Expected schedule for data sharing
  • Method of data sharing
  • Any copyright or intellectual property rights to the data
  • Circumstances that prevent sharing, such as confidentiality of data, and how you will address this
