ProQuest Central is a library database of both scholarly and popular sources including academic journals, magazines, and newspapers from a wide variety of subject areas. It’s a great place to start your research on almost any topic.

1. Go to https://library.usu.edu/ and click on "Articles and Databases" under "Find."
2. To quickly search for the ProQuest Central database, type it into the search bar or click on "P" to find it alphabetically.
3. Click on the "ProQuest Central" link.
4. Type in keywords related to your topic in the search bars.
5. If you have more than a few keywords, you can always click "Add a row." This will add an additional row of search fields.
6. When you're done entering keywords, click "Search."
7. Related results will populate. To quickly determine if a source is right for your research, click "Quick look."
8. Here you'll be able to review the abstracts and other subject terms you may want to incorporate into more searches.
9. If you want to view the item's full details, click on the title.
10. On the item's detail page, you can view information on authors, download the item, review citation information, and more.
