ProQuest Central: Accessing Full-Text

Tips for using and making the most of ProQuest Central

Accessing Full-Text & Browsing Results

Browsing Your Results

You can hover over each source to find the Quick look feature. This will enable you to skim the abstract and view the subjects included in the source. You can also click the Abstract & Details button below the source to see more.

Knowing whether or not the source you’re looking at is a credible source can be tricky. See our Evaluating Sources guide for tips.

Accessing the Full-Text

To view the full PDF, click the Full text button on the results page for the article you want to see. (Remember you can filter results to Full text only using the Full text filter on the left side of the results page.)

Or on the Abstract/Details page look for the Full text – PDF link on the left side.

Instead of Full text you might see Article Linker. Click Article Linker to see if we have access to the full text through another database.

Sometimes Article Linker will open another window that will take you to the full text. Other times it will pull up this message:

Click the Get Article button to request the item to be sent to you from one of our partner libraries. See our Interlibrary Loan guide for more information. Article PDF requests are usually available within 24-48 business hours.
