Teaching with Podcasts: Technology Considerations

Innovation Hub Considerations

Software

The following software are already available on the computer within the podcast booth as well as in the Digital Scholarship Room (156).

We recommend using Audacity to record and using Adobe Audition to edit your recording.

Reserving a Podcast Booth

To reserve a time slot in a podcast booth, visit the reservation calendar. Select the dates and times to use the equipment.

Please Note:

You will have to log in using your Aggie number and password to create a reservation.

Hours and Location

The Innovation Hub is open the same hours as the Merrill-Cazier Library. See those hours here.

The podcasting room is in 158A, the southeast corner of the Innovation Hub.

Other Recording Options

Online Recording Platforms

There are many other options when recording a podcast if you do not have access to a podcast booth/ equipment. The following platforms are great alternative options:

  • Zencastr - High-quality remote recording with separate tracks for guests
  • Riverside.fm - Studio-quality remote recording with video options
  • Squadcast - Reliable remote recording with cloud storage
