There are various options available to USU faculty, staff, and students for funding the payment of Article Processing Charges (APCs) for open access publishing. One option is to apply for grants from external funding agencies, which may provide financial support for the publication of research. Another option is to utilize the library's Open Access Fund, which provides support for the payment of APCs for articles published in fully open access journals. Faculty Start-Up Funds, which are provided by individual academic departments, can also be used to pay APCs. Additionally, the library may have negotiated agreements or discounts with specific publishers, which can reduce the cost of publishing in open access journals. These various funding options provide USU faculty, staff, and students with opportunities to publish their work in open access journals while minimizing the financial burden associated with APCs.
