Open Access Support: DigitalCommons Repository

Open access support options available for USU researchers.

Green Open Access & The Institutional Repository (IR)

No Paywalls, Just Impact. #GreenOADayWhat is an institutional repository?

The institutional repository (IR) is a digital archive where institutions can store and make accessible their own intellectual and research output, allowing for preservation and dissemination of scholarly work, including research papers, theses, dissertations, and other creative works.

Under the Utah State University open access policy, USU researcher can send an accepted version of their published articles to the institutional repository, DigitalCommons. This means anyone, anywhere with an internet connection can access your work for free.

Once your articles are posted, you’ll gain access to the DigitalCommons Author Dashboard. Here, you can track how many views and downloads your work receives, giving you real-time insight into the impact of your research.

Don’t let paywalls hinder the reach and impact of your research. Send your accepted manuscripts to scholarlycommunications@usu.edu today and join the open access movement!
